Background

I grew up between Calgary and the Okanagan. I had the best of both the city and farm life (very well rounded child). Sunny Okanagan summers on the orchard were a highlight growing up although I equally enjoyed being close to the Rocky Mountains during the winter.

Before moving to the West Coast of BC and embarking on an education and career in Communications and Graphic Design, I spent many years working in Hospitality, Recreation and Travel & Tourism. With in these industries, I was able to work and travel all at the same time .

I spent many years in Banff National Park, I was drawn there by my love of skiing, snowboarding and meeting new people. I was a certified lifeguard and swimming instructor at the Banff Centre's Sally Borden Building Fitness Club. I also kept busy on the side working in various restaurant, retail and hospitality positions before finding my way to employment at a ski resort. And so began my cycle of endless winter working 8 consecutive ski seasons between these resorts:

  • Sunshine Village Ski Resort - Banff, AB
  • Turoa Ski Resort - Ohakune, New Zealand
  • Perisher Blue Ski Resort - NSW, Australia
  • Big White Ski Resort - Kelowna, BC
